[Week 05] Time is Life
Hello, the one who dances with the ghosts!
It's time for a new Dev Log to update you on what we have achieved so far!
Let there be LIGHT! (Or not so much)
Our Level now got the first pass of coloured photons spreading through the walls.
Be invited to have an exclusive top-down view of it. Maybe you can already see a pattern!
Cerecita Darling (My dear sweet child)
Is it a plane? Is it a bird? Neither, but our artists (Yes Gregg, also the programmers did their part, geez calm down) worked especially hard to make Cereza move and there are issues being fixed at the moment of me (Who am I? But more importantly Who are you? Leave us a comment!) writing this. Oh did you know that Cereza means Cherry in Spanish? No? Here I am (Who am I? What is the meaning of Life? What is the meaning of time?) doing you an educate! And you may ask what it has to do with our game? Nothing. For now!
Let there be Bullets! (Just one for now)
We think we have a really nice shader for the standard bullet now. The artist making this really poured their heart into this and their nerves! Coming from making shaders in Unreal Engine 4 adapting to the shader graph in Unity was definitely doable but it took more time than planned. But hey at least it's finished!

We also put the shader to the test and filled the level with a lot more enemy dummies that also feature roughly the behaviour of the low tier enemy.
The enemy can now move follow you like a stalker and shoot at you. The player also takes damage from the bullets. Yes, now we can be scared of these bullet shooting blobs.
Blue Babies (My not so dear children)
Here we are. Presenting you the little pest we were talking about in the Dev Log last week (thank you for reading btw!). The 2D concept was translated nicely into 3D and Unity! Now we are going to breathe Life in these deadly and also dead creatures.
Collectibles / Collectables (Seriously, I hate love writing this)
Here we have the artist expressing their love of very treasury treasures in plain lines on checkered paper. Fascinating how the arrangement of scribbled letters provides a fascinating insight into the chaotic neuronal storm of an artist, otherwise known as a brainstorm.
What's more to come?
We also want to show some things we worked on but are not present in the game yet.
Mainly the UI we came up with and some interesting designs.
