[Week 10] Time Is Life
Introduction
Welcome back, future ghost slayers! We are running towards the end of this wonderful experience but everything that lives is designed to end. But we are not quite there yet because it is DEVLOG TIIIIME!
Get the bug spray Wout!
So let's get done with the boring stuff that just makes stuff work but does not look pretty first. Our programmers are bug hunting and you may have guessed it, running an old hotel comes naturally with a few bugs and worms. But don't you worry, we artists put down our feet so our programmers can take care of the pest problem.
Wout the Arena Boss
Wout, like the total madman that he is, is turning every room (not every every duh) into a little arena. We all tried to hold him back but he wants to feel like a roman emperor. So now we all have to call him Wout The Great I.
Unbelievable Interaction
The in-game UI is now reacting to what is happening on the stage e.g. the game. Basically, it watches your performance and applauds you (without actually applauding because it cannot do that which is okay cause that means it cannot "boo" you as well).
Ultra Interesting
We put some colours on the UI to give it a bit more love and charm. We don't know if we are able to push it even more but for now, this is fine (hotel burns in the background).
Look what we've bought
In addition to the props for the level we showed you last time, here's a new batch:
We've put a little green here and there cause we also wanna stress the fact that we all have to care for nature.
So we can have enough wood to turn it into stairs! Also, our stairs have some lovely carpets to accompany them, tieing everything more together and adding visual fidelity.
Who wants to be a millionaire?
We have gems now and they come with a beautiful shader that makes them so shiny that Glenn really said: "They look so shiny, I wanna put them in my mouth." Really he just said it while I was writing this exact part so I had to incorporate that. So now we all know that when something's shiny, Glenn wants to taste it.

Light me up but not on fire please
You might have already seen it but here it is in full beauty: We gave the lighting a complete overhaul.
There are more colours, they are more saturated, the whole mood is darker, there is fog in the environment that makes everything moodier and gives the whole level a "thicc atmosphere".
Cereza and her foes also have lights now that follow them that makes them more "pop". Also, the light on Cereza provides a good contrast with the surrounding that makes you always focus on her and the action.
